During Jesus’ earthly ministry, he called individuals to “follow” Him. Jesus did not call the leaders of the temple, nor the teachers, and scholars. He called simple fishermen and even people of questionable reputations and some who were despised by their neighbors. Jesus did not call the qualified, He qualified the call.
