Jesus came down the mountain and began to walk on water to meet his disciples. Now picture this in your mind. It is very early in the morning, and it is dark out. Have you ever been in a boat at night? Back then, boats and ships didn't have generators to provide electricity for lights. It was dark only light they had at night was the moon, and out there on the open waters during a very windy night can be very frightful. They are frightened by the wind and the waves as they try to get to shore when they see what they describe as a ghost walking towards them.
