Jacob must leave home because he has deceived his brother and his life is threatened. Even with his deceitful nature, God continues repeat the promises He has made to the family. Jacob is hired on by his uncle and works for seven years to pay the bride price for a wife. But God will use the circumstances to begin to refine Jacob. He will see what it is life to be on the receiving end of deceit.
