You were made by the Creator that gives you breath to breathe, and what great insight you have to realize that you are loved. Job knew that the Lord gave him life, and while he was suffering, he could not come to the point to curse the One that gives him breath. He states, “As long as my breath is in me, and the breath of God in my nostrils, my lips will not speak wickedness…” (Job 27:3-4). On the other hand, most of us have probably wanted to walk away from the Lord; still, His Spirit lives in us and keeps us from the evil one. Jesus, the Good Shepherd, declares, “And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand” (John 10:29).
