Phillipians 4:4-9- PEACE RIGHT NOW

This is a recording from our facebook livestream on Sunday. Pastor Jeff gave us the ingredients to finding peace right now in the middle of crisis. Below are some questions to go over and discuss with whoever you are with: [Phl 4:4-9 NIV] 4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things. 9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me--put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you. Questions: What is the opposite of rejoicing? Do you ever catch yourself doing it? What is the opposite of anxiety? (Vs. 7) Vs. 7 says that the peace of God will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. What are some differences between the heart and the mind? How does God’s peace guard them? As a family, group or individual- Name 7 things you are thankful for (no repeats). (Vs. 8) What are some things you can “put into practice” this week in our walk with Jesus? Close in Prayer
