The word Ecclesiastes is from late Latin Ecclēsiatḗs, borrowed from Greek Ekklēsiatḗs, from ekklēsiastḗs “participant in an assembly of citizens”.  Septuagint translators as a rendering of Hebrew qōheleth. קקֹהֶלֶת  (congregation) This is the root from which we get Ecclesial or church. [1]
