I will hold my head high! - Psalms 27:1,4-9 Many years ago at worship in a church in a town far away, we sang a song that was so beautiful it seemed to literally lift our souls and hearts. That song starts this way: The Lord is my light and my salvation— so why should I be afraid? There are two words that stand out for me as I re-read Psalm 27: Dependence and fear. Do we fear God? Was Jesus dependent on His Father?
