God has sent a very important message to the world; His love! The gospel of John chapter three verse sixteen presents the message of God in a concise set of words to help everyone understand and attain salvation. God so loved the world, He gave his only Son, whoever believes in Him, should not perish but have eternal life!. Christians rejoice in this truth and are excited to share it with all, specially with the soul that longs to be found and saved. John 3:16 is an open invitation from the savior to the sinner, to believe and receive!

Introduction

  1. Illustration of short attention span trending with Tiktok and social media but not new under heaven similar to shot comms telegram, the Bible has a short telegraphic message

  2. The title of my sermon is “God's Message” and my text is gospel of St. John 16th verse in the third chapter

  3. Three main observations about the message from God.

Well, what are these?


  1. The Cause of Salvation, v.16a

    1. The love of God the Father.

    2. Love has prompted His will to initiated salvation. Ephesians 1:4, 5

    3. Illustration of how great is the love of God as a father willing to abandoned His own Son to love the world, to love you who believe!

Application: Do you see God's love for you?


TRANSITION: God's message not only has the Cause for salvation but also the Cost


  1. The Cost of salvation v.16b

    1. The life of the Son of God.

    2. Salvation is free but it comes at a price, the life of Jesus Christ.

    3. Illustration of "Christianity is the only 'religion' that has at its center the humiliation of its God."

Application: Do you see the cost of salvation?


TRANSITION: God's message not only has the Cause for salvation and the Cost of salvation but also the Consequent results

  1. The Consequent Results, v.16c

    1. Whoever believes, should NOT perish. Eph 1:3; 1 Pet 1:3.

    2. The believer has eternal life in Christ. Jn 11:25

    3. Illustration of the understanding of eternal life as the blessing of sharing the blessing of being in the presence of God himself forever. The quality of life not merely the extensions of days.


Conclusion

  1. Therefore, hearing the Cause, Cost, and Consequent Results of Salvation from the message of God.

  2. Let us acknowledge and act accordingly, receiving the gift of salvation by believing in Jesus Christ.

  3. Illustration of how I am already a believer in Christ and know the cause of God's love, and thank Him for the paying the Cost of salvation, and how I am grateful for the Consequent results of enjoying eternal life in Jesus Christ.
