Episode Notes

John 6:43

English Standard Version (ESV)
Jesus answered them, "Do not grumble among yourselves.

James 5:9

English Standard Version (ESV)
Do not grumble against one another, brothers, so that you may not be judged; behold, the Judge is standing at the door.

1 Corinthians 10:10

English Standard Version (ESV)  nor grumble, as some of them did and were destroyed by the Destroyer.

4. Weariness in going to Gods word for answers.

Matthew 11:28

New Living Translation (NLT)
Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.

} Jesus, who is the word, said come to me, Faith comes by hearing the word so Jesus was in a sense saying, “come to your faith and it will give you rest!”

[You can also find this truth in Heb. Chapter 4]

The last thing we feel like doing when weary is reading Gods word or going to church to hear.

Galatians 6:9

Amplified Bible (AMP)
And let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting nobly and doing right, for in due time and at the appointed season we shall reap, if we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint.

} We must not get weary in going to God or Faith!

} God says weariness is loosing heart or spiritual life.

2 Thessalonians 3:13

Amplified Bible (AMP)
And as for you, brethren, do not become weary or lose heart in doing right [but continue in well-doing without weakening].

} This is when we need to stop and get in the word and presence of God for refreshing.

} Sometimes, when we think we need rest we actually need to enter faith through the word and become refreshed.

Romans 10:17          King James Version (KJV)

17So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

} Faith will sustain you in whatever your need.

5. Disregard to our conversation, ignoring the words that are being spoken.

} This often reveals itself through humors, conversation or agreement with people we do not even know while making idle conversation.

} It can happen in the grocery store line, gas stations, and restaurants.

} This can also be an undeveloped spiritual life or immaturity.

Proverbs 10:31

21st Century King James Version (KJ21)
The mouth of the just bringeth forth wisdom, but the froward tongue shall be cut out.
fro·ward

difficult to deal with: stubbornly disobedient or contrary (archaic)

} Remember we are talking about disregard to our conversation and it being a sign of damaged faith. Or an attempt to damage faith. Or ignorance of truth about faith.

Proverbs 17:20

21st Century King James Version (KJ21)
He that hath a froward heart findeth no good, and he that hath a perverse tongue falleth into iniquity.

[ Old English frāward "in a direction leading away from"

} Froward is something leading away from your victory of faith.

} When you are born again your spirit will respond within you that you are speaking out of line. [Pay attention to it!]

6. Unclear direction, uncertainty, double minded.

James 1:5-8 King James Version (KJV)

5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.

8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

} Faith does not waver. When we begin to experience uncertainty and a lack of clear direction it is tempting our faith to be damaged.

} Do not attempt to just plow through and do something but back off and spend time in Gods word and reestablish your faith for a confident clear direction.

} This ability to live out of faith is simply training in the realm of patience.

} This does not mean you will not have thoughts in the mind. Take the thoughts captive as scripture teaches [2cor.10:5] and remember that faith is a force of the heart not the mind.

7. Disinterested in achieving higher spiritual accomplishments.                      John 4:34

Amplified Bible (AMP)
Jesus said to them, My food (nourishment) is to do the will (pleasure) of Him Who sent Me and to accomplish and completely finish His work.

} Faith is a creative force that is energized for accomplishment.

1 Corinthians 12:5-7 Amplified Bible (AMP)

5 And there are distinctive varieties of service and ministration, but it is the same Lord [Who is served].

6 And there are distinctive varieties of operation [of working to accomplish things], but it is the same God Who inspires and energizes them all in all.

7 But to each one is given the manifestation of the [Holy] Spirit [the evidence, the spiritual illumination of the Spirit] for good and profit.

Ephesians 3:20

New Living Translation (NLT)
Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.

2 Thessalonians 1:11

New Living Translation (NLT)
So we keep on praying for you, asking our God to enable you to live a life worthy of his call. May he give you the power to accomplish all the good things your faith prompts you to do.

Faith will prompt us or bring about an action. It will assist us or encourage us to speak.

Hebrews 10:36

Amplified Bible (AMP)
For you have need of steadfast patience and endurance, so that you may perform and fully accomplish the will of God, and thus receive and carry away [and enjoy to the full] what is promised.

8. Unfaithfulness.

Romans 3:3

English Standard Version (ESV)
What if some were unfaithful? Does their faithlessness nullify the faithfulness of God?

} Faithless implies a lack of Gods abiding word within them.

} Faithfulness is a fruit of the spirit so when unfaithfulness is showing, it implies that there is a hindrance in the flow of the spirit through Gods word.

[We may need to feed on the Spirits fruit in his presence]. Get in the Spirit of the word and out of the mental realm.

9. Fearfulness or timidity.

} When faith is becoming damaged there will many times be an increase in fear or intimidation.

Luke 8:25

Amplified Bible (AMP)
And He said to them, [Why are you so fearful?] Where is your faith (your trust, your confidence in Me--in My veracity and My integrity)? And they were seized with alarm and profound and reverent dread, and they marveled, saying to one another, Who then is this, that He commands even wind and sea, and they obey Him?

Mark 4:40

Amplified Bible (AMP)
He said to them, Why are you so timid and fearful? How is it that you have no faith (no firmly relying trust)?

John 14:27

Amplified Bible (AMP)
Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.]

} If we could not stop ourselves from having fear God would not have told us to stop.

} Remember, faith is for you and fear is against you.
