Acts 16:1 Paul came also to Derbe and to Lystra. And a disciple was there, named Timothy, the son of a Jewish woman who was a believer, but his father was a Greek, 2 and he was well spoken of by the brethren who were in Lystra and Iconium. 3 Paul wanted this man to go with him; and he took him and circumcised him because of the Jews who were in those parts, for they all knew that his father was a Greek. Slide: 1 Cor. 11:1 Be imitators of me, just as I also am of Christ. Slide: 1 Cor. 4:16 Therefore I exhort you, be imitators of me. 17 For this reason I have sent to you Timothy, who is my beloved and faithful child in the Lord, and he will remind you of my ways which are in Christ, just as I teach everywhere in every church. Slide: Role Models: Timothy Was a kindred spirit, an imitator Was sympathetic toward others Was sacrificial and Christ focused Slide: Role Models: Even Paul had very few kindred spirits.
