This Pentecost Sunday we yet again celebrate the birth of the church. We celebrate this day when God's spirit pours out among us so that others might hear and receive the message of God's mercy, love, forgiveness, and grace. So often our inner voice wonders why others "don't get it" the way we do. But the truth is that often we speak in a way that we might understand. Yet Pentecost God's spirit pours out among people in their native tongue. They hear the beautiful mercies of God in a language they can receive.
