What do we know about the resurrection To resurrect – is to bring back to life And Jesus was brought back to life but it was not about coming back to life and being rescued out of the tomb it was about coming back to life and being delivered out of hell When Jesus took on our sins, he became a candidate for hell And when Jesus died , He went to hell before his body came down from the cross But his dying on the cross with our sin had a purpose Hebrews 2:14 (nlt) 14 because God’s children are human beings—made of flesh and blood—the son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who had the power of death.
