There's an iconic scene in the Old Nintendo video game, "The Legend of Zelda," where Link, the hero, speaks to an unnamed old man before embarking on his quest. The man hands Link a sword and says to him, "It's dangerous to go alone! Take this." We have our own sword: the Word of God. We have His promises in baptism. We have the Lord's Supper. God gives us what we need, and it is truly enough to strengthen and preserve us in the one true faith until life everlasting.
