It All Came Crashing Down

Jesus had sat down in the temple to watch people give their offerings. He made note of a poor widow who put in all she had. Jesus, however, does not commend her or make her an example to follow. He pointed her out in comparison to the rich in order to reinforce His warning about the Scribes who "devour widows' houses." The story is not intended to exhort us into self-less giving, but it does point to the One who gave up everything for you.
