2 Kings 2:1-15 Elisha demonstrates a deep love and loyalty towards his spiritual father and mentor, the Prophet Elijah. When Elijah informs Elisha that the LORD is going to take him up to heaven, Elisha refuses to leave his side. He even turns down the offer to stay behind, insisting on accompanying Elijah until his final moment.
