Matthew 11:28-30

28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you

and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my

yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

The Appeal of Jesus Invitation:

1. Everything we need BEGINS with JESUS and ENDS with JESUS.

2. To all who are WEARY & BURDENED.

3. Jesus yoke is EASY and LIGHT.

The yoke of Jesus is easy and light:

 Compared with the yoke of OTHERS.

 If we don’t include the burdens WE CHOOSE to add to it.

Romans 8:1-4

Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 2 because through

Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and

death. 3 For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, God

did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering. And so he

condemned sin in the flesh, 4 in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully

met in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

The yoke of Jesus is not about TRYING HARDER. It’s about SURRENDERING DEEPER.

 As long as we do not REBEL AGAINST IT.

Final Thought: Those who put EVERYTHING in GOD’S HANDS will eventually see God’s HAND in

EVERYTHING.
