THE GOD OF ALL COMFORT
2 Corinthians 1:3-4 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus
Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4 who
comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble
with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.
● The moment you learn how to allow the Holy Spirit to comfort
you in YOUR trouble…you can now be used to comfort someone
else in ANY trouble.

● Health means hope

How to Experience Good Grief
1. Talk about it.
1 Peter 5:7 casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.
2 Corinthians 7:5-6 For even when we came into Macedonia, our bodies
had no rest, but we were afflicted at every turn—fighting without and fear
within. 6 But God, who comforts the downcast, comforted us by the coming
of Titus,
James 5:16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one
another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has
great power as it is working.
2. Be still.
Psalm 46:10 “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the
nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”

3. Grieve with hope.
1 Thessalonians 4:13 But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers,
about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who
have no hope.

1 Kings 17:2-6 And the word of the LORD came to him: 3 “Depart from here
and turn eastward and hide yourself by the brook Cherith, which is east of
the Jordan. 4 You shall drink from the brook, and I have commanded the
ravens to feed you there.” 5 So he went and did according to the word of
the LORD. He went and lived by the brook Cherith that is east of the Jordan.
6 And the ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning, and bread
and meat in the evening, and he drank from the brook.
