STRETCH: What can you do?

Jeremiah 20:9

But if I say, "I will not mention his word or speak anymore in his name," his word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot.

WHY DO WE HESITATE TO SHARE OUR FAITH?

1. WE ARE AFRAID.

2. We don’t feel Qualified.

2 Corinthians 5:20

20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.

3. WE ARE COMPLACENT.

The problem is that we have taken a passive role, when we are meant to be active.

Romans 13:11
This is all the more urgent, for you know how late it is; time is running out. Wake up, for our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed

3 ways that Anyone can share their faith in Jesus.

Let me remind you, you…

Don’t need a degree

Don’t have to be an expert

Don’t need to have all the answers.

And these require you to get out of your comfort zone.

Sharing the Love of Jesus requires you to,

1. Use what you have.

Luke 5:29-32

Then Levi held a great banquet for Jesus at his house, and a large crowd of tax collectors and others were eating with them. 30 But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law who belonged to their sect complained to his disciples, “Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?” 31 Jesus answered them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. 32 I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”

2. YOU CAN INVITE SOMEONE TO CHURCH.

John 4:28-30

28 Then, leaving her water jar, the woman went back to the town and said to the people, 29 “Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the Messiah?” 30 They came out of the town and made their way toward him.

3. YOU CAN SHARE YOUR STORY.

John 9:25

25 He replied, “Whether [Jesus] is a sinner or not, I don’t know. One thing I do know. I was blind but now I see!
