HOPE HAS A NAME – 4
PRINCE OF PEACE

Isaiah 9: 6-7 For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government
will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
7 Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end,
Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, to order it and establish it with
judgment and justice from that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts
will perform this.
Luke 2:10-14 Then the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you
good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. 11 For there is born to you this day
in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 12 And this will be the sign to you:
You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger." 13 And suddenly
there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: 14
"Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men!"

1. The Prince of Peace Who Removes the Storm
Mark 4:39 Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, "Peace, be
still!" And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.
2. The Prince of Peace Who Remains Through the Storm
John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world
gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
3. The Prince of Peace Who Reassures with Peace
A. Peace with God.
Romans 5:1 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have
peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
B. Peace with others.
Romans 14:17-19 For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but
righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. 18 For he who serves Christ
in these things is acceptable to God and approved by men. 19 Therefore let us
pursue the things which make for peace and the things by which one may edify
another.
C. Peace with Life.

Philippians 4:6-7 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and
supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and
the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and
minds through Christ Jesus.
2 Thessalonians 3:16 Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always
in every way. The Lord be with you all.
