Hope Has A Name Week 1

Isaiah 9:6 ESV

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

“WONDERFUL”

This word is the Hebrew word PALA.

PALA: “a phenomenon lying outside the realm of human explanation; that which is separated from the normal course of events.”

Psalm 139:6 ESV

Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high; I cannot attain it.

“COUNSELOR”

Counselor: a person who gives advice or counseling.

1. Is EDUCATED.

2. Is RELATABLE.

3. Is RELIABLE.

4. Has EXPERIENCE.

Yow-ETS: One who advises or instructs or guides, but from a position of authority.
