IN THE CHAOS

FALLING IN LOVE REQUIRES A PULSE.

STAYING IN LOVE REQUIRES A PLAN.

Love (noun) – strong affection or warm attachment for another

    I’m in love!

Love (verb) – cherish, caress, desire, adore, care for another

    I adore you!

The feelings of love (noun) started this train moving, but the action of love (verb) is what keeps it going.

Part 1: Love One Another

John 13:34 - “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.

1. In the chaos, you have to choose to love that person, not just be in love with that person.

1. Your spouse deserve to be celebrated!

1. Do the things you did in the beginning!

Revelation 2:4-5

Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken the love you had at first. 5 Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first.

1. In the midst of the chaos, let’s not forget to love the one we’re in love with!

Part 2: Submit To One Another

Ephesians 5:21a

Submit to one another…

Submit (verb) – to place under another. Obey. Submit to one’s control. Yield to one’s admonition or advise.

1. You go first when it comes to putting them first.

Ephesians 5:21

Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.

1. Mutual Submission in love leads to:

• Peace in the madness.

• Security in the uncertainty.

• Love in the chaos.

1. Take our queues for love & submission from the one who loves us most – God.

Hebrews 12:1-2

Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
