HELP – I’M OVERWHELMED!

Ephesians 6:10 (ESV) Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the
strength of his might.
1. Grow in your KNOWLEDGE of spiritual principles.
Proverbs 24:5 (NLT) The wise are mightier than the strong, and
those with knowledge grow stronger and stronger.
2. Live in God’s WORD and let His word live in YOU.
Joshua 1:8 (ESV) This Book of the Law shall not depart from your
mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be
careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will
make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
1 John 2:14 (ESV) I write to you, fathers, because you know him who
is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because you are
strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome
the evil one.
Psalm 119:9,11 (NIV) How can a young person stay on the path of
purity? By living according to your word… I have hidden your word in
my heart that I might not sin against you.
3. Give GLORY to God.
Romans 4:20 (NIV) Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding
the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory
to God
4. Keep your JOY in God.

Nehemiah 8:10 (ESV) Then he said to them, “Go your way. Eat the
fat and drink sweet wine and send portions to anyone who has
nothing ready, for this day is holy to our Lord. And do not be grieved,
for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

Psalm 16:11 (ESV) You make known to me the path of life; in your
presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures
forevermore.
Psalm 43:4 (NLT) There I will go to the altar of God, to God—the
source of all my joy. I will praise you with my harp, O God, my God!
5. PRAY and allow God to strengthen you.

Matthew 26:41 (NIV) “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into
temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
1 Corinthians 16:13 (NLT) Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be
courageous. Be strong.
Ephesians 3:16 (NLT) I pray that from his glorious, unlimited
resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit.

6. SERVE God with a whole-hearted commitment.
2 Chronicles 16:9 (NLT) The eyes of the Lord search the whole
earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to
him. What a fool you have been! From now on you will be at war.”

7. Walk by FAITH.
Hebrews 11:33-34 (NLT) By faith these people overthrew kingdoms,
ruled with justice, and received what God had promised them. They
shut the mouths of lions, 34 quenched the flames of fire, and escaped
death by the edge of the sword. Their weakness was turned to
strength. They became strong in battle and put whole armies to flight.
Psalm 18:39 (NLT) You have armed me with strength for the battle;
you have subdued my enemies under my feet.

8. Watch your WORDS.

Proverbs 18:21 (MSG) Words kill, words give life; they’re either
poison or fruit—you choose.
9. Praying in the HOLY SPIRIT.
Jude 1:20 (MSG) But you, dear friends, carefully build yourselves up
in this most holy faith by praying in the Holy Spirit, staying right at the
center of God’s love, keeping your arms open and outstretched,
ready for the mercy of our Master, Jesus Christ. This is the unending
life, the real life!
10. Acknowledge your WEAKNESS!
2 Corinthians 12:9 (NKJV) And He said to me, “My grace is
sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.”
Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the
power of Christ may rest upon me.
