GREATER THAN – 4

·               God is greater than our FEAR.

Psalm 102:25-27 (NLT) Long ago you laid the foundation of the earth and made the heavens with your hands. 26 They will perish, but you remain forever; they will wear out like old clothing. You will change them like a garment and discard them. 27 But you are always the same; you will live forever.

“Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to known God.” – Corrie ten Boom

1.            Amplify God’s voice in your life.

Isaiah 40:8 (NLT) The grass withers and the flowers fade, but the word of our God stands forever.”

o        If you want to change your choices, sometimes you have to change the voices you amplify.

2.            Aim at God’s plans.

Isaiah 46:9-10 (NLT) Remember the things I have done in the past.  For I alone am God! I am God, and there is none like me. 10 Only I can tell you the future before it even happens. Everything I plan will come to pass, for I do whatever I wish.

3.            Ask for God’s help.

Philippians 4:4-9 (NLT) Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice! 5 Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember, the Lord is coming soon. 6 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. 7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.8 And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. 9 Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.

Hebrews 13:5-6 (NLT) For God has said, “I will NEVER fail you. I will NEVER abandon you.” 6 So we can say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?”
