Being Faithful Right Now

Episode Notes

Being Faithful Right Now

We are what we continually do.

Romans 7:21-25New Life Version (NLV)

21 This has become my way of life: When I want to do what is right, I always do what is wrong. 22 My mind and heart agree with the Law of God. 23 But there is a different law at work deep inside of me that fights with my mind. This law of sin holds me in its power because sin is still in me. 24 There is no happiness in me! Who can set me free from my sinful old self? 25 God’s Law has power over my mind, but sin still has power over my sinful old self. I thank God I can be free through Jesus Christ our Lord!

Acts 17:26New Life Version (NLV)

26 He made from one blood all nations who live on the earth. He set the times and places where they should live.

James 4:13-17New Life Version (NLV)

13 Listen! You who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this city and stay a year and make money.” 14 You do not know about tomorrow. What is your life? It is like fog. You see it and soon it is gone. 15 What you should say is, “If the Lord wants us to, we will live and do this or that.” 16 But instead you are proud. You talk loud and big about yourselves. All such pride is sin. 17 If you know what is right to do but you do not do it, you sin.

3 Habits of Being Faithful Right Now

Obey God in the things you know right now

We don’t need a new revelation as much as we need to do what He’s already said.

Aligning our life with His timing and principles

The goal is not to be in a position where you don’t need God anymore but to be in a position where you need him more and more.

In your everyday life be open to the Holy Spirit

When you love God only for the benefits, you actually make God your servant
