CHRISTMAS IS FOR GOOD NEWS

 

Luke 2:10-11 (TNIV) But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.

 

The good news is not…

 

·      Straighten Up. 

 

·      Get back to church. 

 

·      Give your life to God. 

 

The good news is…

 

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave…

 

1.  God LOVED.

 

The gods played.  People paid.

2.  God GAVE.

3.  We BELIEVE.

 

Believes Toward = Trusts

4.  We RECEIVE.

 

John 17:1-3 (TNIV) “Father, the hour as come, glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you. For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him.  Now this is eternal life that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.” 

 

John 1:12 (TNIV) Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believe in his name, He gave the right to become children of God.  

 

Believing is receiving.
