Bringing Children to Jesus

Mark 10:13-16 ESV
13 And they were bringing children to him that he might touch them, and the disciples
rebuked them.14 But when Jesus saw it, he was indignant and said to them, "Let the
children come to me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God. 15
Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not
enter it." 16 And he took them in his arms and blessed them, laying his hands on them.

them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when
you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.

14 But when Jesus saw it, he was indignant and said to them, "Let the children come to
me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God. 15Truly, I say to you,
whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it."

shooed them off. But Jesus was irate and let them know it: “Don’t push these children
away. Don’t ever get between them and me. These children are at the very center of life
in the kingdom. Mark this: Unless you accept God’s kingdom in the simplicity of a child,
you’ll never get in.” Then, gathering the children up in his arms, he laid his hands of
blessing on them.
