1) The first bad thing in creation was Solitude…
Believers attend church.
Disciples belong to a church family.
Genesis 1:27
So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.
· God created Eve, not to be a wife, but to be the necessary companion to Adam so that TOGETHER, IN LOVING COMMUNITY, THEY could be an accurate reflection of God.

Ecclesiastes 4:10 (NLT) - If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble.
· Living in solitude not only restricts us from accurately reflecting God’s love, it places us in harm’s way.
· Even your alone time is meant to be spent with Jesus!
2) Psalm 68:6 - God sets the lonely in families…
Believers like their church.
Disciples love their brothers & sisters in the church.
Psalm 133 – How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity! 2 It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard, running down on Aaron’s beard, down on the collar of his robe. 3 It is as if the dew of Hermon were falling on Mount Zion. For there the Lord bestows his blessing, even life forevermore.
· How disciples love others well:
o Show Honor – lots & lots of honor.
Romans 12:10 (ESV) - Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor.
E. Stanley Jones – Honor is placing a crown over someone’s head and watching them grow into it.
o Be Authentic.
James 5:16 - Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
§ Accountability is only available to the authentic.
§ They don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care.
o Care Deeply.
§ When grace of Jesus fills our hearts, we stop being takers, and we become givers.
FINAL THOUGHT: CHRISTIANS can be believers & not be intimately involved in a caring, supportive community, but they can’t be DISCIPLES.
