Episode Notes

Here's a 5-day Bible reading plan and devotional guide based on the themes from the lesson

Day 1: The Bread of Life
Reading: John 6:35-40

Devotional: Jesus declares Himself as the Bread of Life, offering eternal satisfaction to those who come to Him.
Today, reflect on the areas of your life where you feel spiritually hungry. How might you be seeking fulfillment in things other than Christ?
Remember that Jesus promises that those who come to Him will never hunger or thirst spiritually. Take time to pray, asking God to reveal any areas where you're not fully relying on Him for sustenance.
Consider how you can intentionally "feed" on Christ's words and presence today.

Day 2: Overcoming Unbelief
Reading: John 6:41-47

Devotional: The people in this passage struggle to believe Jesus, despite witnessing His miracles. We too can sometimes doubt, even in the face of God's work in our lives. Reflect on times when you've struggled with unbelief. What caused your doubt?
Remember that Jesus doesn't reject those who question but invites them deeper. Today, bring your doubts honestly before God.
Ask Him to strengthen your faith and to help you see His work in your life more clearly. Consider journaling about a time when God proved faithful despite your doubts.

Day 3: The Ultimate Sacrifice
Reading: John 6:48-51

Devotional: Jesus speaks of giving His flesh for the life of the world, foreshadowing His sacrifice on the cross. This ultimate act of love is the foundation of our salvation.
Today, meditate on the depth of God's love demonstrated through Christ's willingness to die for us. How does this sacrifice impact your daily life?
Take time to express gratitude for this gift of salvation. Consider ways you can "live out" this sacrificial love in your relationships and interactions with others today.

Day 4: Abiding in Christ
Reading: John 6:52-59

Devotional: Jesus uses vivid imagery to describe the intimate relationship He desires with His followers. To "eat His flesh and drink His blood" symbolizes fully partaking in His life and allowing Him to sustain us spiritually.
Reflect on what it means to truly abide in Christ. How can you invite Jesus more fully into every aspect of your life?
Today, practice being aware of Christ's presence throughout your daily activities. Set reminders to pause and "feed" on His words, perhaps by memorizing a verse or spending extra time in prayer.

Day 5: Assurance of Salvation
Reading: John 10:27-30

Devotional: While not from the original passage, this reading reinforces Jesus' promise of eternal security for His followers. Reflect on the comfort and peace that comes from knowing that nothing can snatch us from God's hand. How does this assurance impact your daily walk with Christ?
Are there areas where you still struggle to trust God's faithfulness? Today, write down specific promises from Scripture that remind you of God's unchanging love and commitment to you.
Share these truths with someone who might need encouragement in their faith journey.
