Psalm 127:3-5 (CEV)
are a blessing and a gift from the Lord. 4 Having a
lot of children
to take care of you in your old age is like a warrior with a lot of arrows.

when your enemies attack with arguments.
I pray that today’s message

Summer Kick Off Series: The Promise
2 Peter 1:4 (CEV)
God made great and marvelous promises, so that his nature would become part of us. Then we could escape our evil desires and the corrupt influences of this world.

2. The Promise of Provision
3. The Promise of Freedom
4. The Promise of Purpose
5. The Promise of the Spirit
6. The Promise of a Father
2 Peter 3:9 (NASB)
The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.
This passage pertains to the second coming of Christ and how that some would say after a while, “will Jesus really keep His promise…
2 Peter 3:3-4 (NLT)
Most importantly, I want to remind you that in the last days scoffers will come, mocking the truth and following their own desires. 4 They will say, “What happened to the promise that Jesus is coming again? From before the times of our ancestors, everything has remained the same since the world was first created.”
The key is to remember that if God said He would do it, He will! But, He will do it according to His perfect time not our imperfect desire!
Today’s message is The Promise of a Mother.
I’ve been privileged to watch the best mother I know for 33 years, so I can speak with authority.
1. Children Are a Blessing and a Gift.
Psalm 127:3 (CEV)
Children are a blessing and a gift from the Lord.
The key phrase is children are from the Lord.
The best Hebrew meaning for blessing and gift is, an inheritance and reward!
Joke: Some days, they may seem like they are a punishment from the Lord.
If the word of God says…
Proverbs 31:28 (NASB)
Her children rise up and bless her…
Just hold on because, “The Lord is not slow about His promise.”
The NKJV calls children the “fruit of the womb.”
That is why there is a special relationship between a mother and her child. Each child is part of their mother’s physical being.
For nine months they shared everything. This is why a mother has the unique ability to comfort her child no matter what is going on.

Isaiah 66:13 (NASB)
“As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you…”
A mother carries the unusual ability to see her children as a blessing and a gift from the Lord… no matter what.
2. Children Are Like Arrows.
Psalm 127:4 (CEV)
Having a lot of children to take care of you in your old age is like a warrior with a lot of arrows.
Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one’s
Arrows are not meant to stay in the quiver; they are meant to be shot out and released.
Each arrow has a target and a purpose, but you must release it.
It takes skill and care to use a bow and arrow.
If an arrow is in your hands you have responsibility.
When you release it… you need faith.

3. When Your Enemies Attack.
Psalm 127:5 (CEV)
you have, the better off you will be, because they will protect you
when your enemies attack with arguments.
“Successful mothers are not the ones who have never struggled. They are the ones who never give up, despite the struggles.”
A great mother is a great prayer because she knows the enemy wants to attack her children.
My mother was a great prayer.
Lori is a great prayer.
Mom is the most important person in out family.
I know exactly what Amy was saying but the truth is the most important person in your family is Jesus!
The question is, “Are you in His family?”
