Pastor Brian takes us verse by verse through Paul's first epistle to the church in Corinth. It is just as relevant and important for the church today. May it be a blessing to you. It's all about Jesus, never about us. Dr. Chuck Missler called this The Epistle to the Californians. Of course, he is saying it tongue in cheek but as we go through this epistle you can see why he calls it that. You will see that the things that are going on in places like Hollywood San Francisco and other parts of California, Las Vegas, New Orleans, and others are the same as what was happening all those years ago in Corinth. They took pride in doing whatever they wanted to do. They didn’t follow anyone else they were the boss, and they didn’t care what anyone else thought. They were proud of their sin. Corinth was famous for its moral corruption. Paul will list a bunch of them later on in chapter 6. The term Corinth came to signify living a sinful lifestyle. There was a Greek word that meant to Corinthinizes or to go to the devil.
