Psalm 23:1-5 “The Lord is my Shepherd, I have everything I need. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul. He guides me in right paths, for His names sake. Even when I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will not fear, for you are with me. Your rod and your staff comfort me.”

Now today we add: “You prepare a banquet for me in front of my enemies.”

What kind of banquet is this? “You” “Prepare” “Banquet” “For Me” “In Front Of” “My Enemies”

What enemies oppose God’s best for me? 

1. The world around you John 16:33 1 John 2:15-17 

2. Satan is against you 1 Peter 5:8 Ephesians 6:12

3. My old nature inside me Romans 2:23 

What does the banquet symbolize? 

1. God wants and welcomes fellowship with you Psalm 5:11 Job 36:16 

2. God wants to bless me to show the world His Goodness! Psalm 31:19 

What’s on the menu? 

Psalm 119:103 Psalm 34:8 Psalm 36:7-9 

One day: The GREATEST Banquet of ALL! 

“The Lord Almighty will prepare a feast of the finest food for all peoples, a banquet of the best of meats and finest wines. And on this mountain, God will destroy the shroud that enfolds all peoples, and the sheet that covers all nations. He will swallow up death forever! The Sovereign Lord will wipe away the tears from all faces; and he will remove the disgrace of his people from all the earth. And in that day, they will say, ‘Surely this is our God! We trusted him, and he saved us! Yes, this is the Lord, we trusted in him! So, let us rejoice and be glad in his salvation!’” Isaiah 25:6-9 NIV
