Episode Notes
IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO COME FACE TO FACE WITH JESUS AND WALK AWAY UNCHANGED
1. Most hated person in town.
Luke 19:1-2 ... He entered Jericho and was passing through. And behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus. He was a chief ta collector and was rich.
Matthew 5:3 ... Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.
- RECOGNIZE how spiritually bankrupt we are without God.
2. Seeking to see Jesus.
Luke 19:3 ... And he was seeking to see who Jesus was, but on account of the crowd he could not, because he was small in stature.
Matthew 7:7 ... Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
- KEEP on asking; keep on seeking; keep on knocking.
3. Willing to be undignified.
Luke 19:4 ... So he ran on ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see Him, for He was about to pass that way.
2nd Samuel 6:22 (NIV) ... I will become even more undignified than this, and I will be humiliated in my own eyes.
- WORRY about what God thinks, not what people think.
OUR PURSUIT OF JESUS IS ALWAYS MET BY HIS PURSUIT OF US
