Wisdom from Above
Series: Authentic Faith

"...the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere. And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace." --James 3:17-18 ---------- James' description of wisdom certainly points to the stark contrast between that "wisdom from above" and let's say, wisdom of the world. Wisdom from God points to a moral, faithful, and spiritual application of what we know and understand about God--His impact on and His role in our lives.
Episode Notes
Wisdom: Applying knowledge to everyday life.
Proverbs 16:16, How much better to get wisdom than gold! To get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver.
Big Idea: The kind of wisdom I embrace will be revealed by the kind of life I live.
Galatians 5:16-18, But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
