Series: Authentic Faith

Frank Foreman

James comes to the conclusion of his letter to scattered Christians with the encouragement to pray for each other and to seek out prayer to make it through the difficulties that life would throw at them. These Christians were facing persecution and depravation and, in their weakness, he reminds them to seek God in prayer and band together in that prayer to look out for each other. ---------- Frank takes a look at this passage and shares a message reminding us of that need to prayer with and for each other.

Episode Notes

Acts 8:1-4, And Saul approved of his execution. And there arose on that day a great persecution against the church in Jerusalem, and they were all scattered throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles. Devout men buried Stephen and made great lamentation over him. But Saul was ravaging the church, and entering house after house, he dragged off men and women and committed them to prison. Now those who were scattered went about preaching the word. Philip went down to the city of Samaria and proclaimed to them the Christ.

1st Peter 2:24, He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By His wounds you have been healed.
