A Journey of Peace

Luke 2:13-14 ... And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom He is pleased!”

Our world is in desperate NEED of peace!  Jesus has come, He is present, and His peace is AVAILABLE to us today. 

1.  I can find peace in the midst of life in a FALLEN world

Mark 4:39 ... And He awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!”  And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

2.  Jesus is the PRINCE of Peace

Isaiah 9:6 ... For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

3.  God’s peace is BEYOND my understanding

Philippians 4:6-7 .. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.  And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

CHALLENGE:  Instead of asking God to change my CIRCUMSTANCES … I will ask Him to change my HEART 

John 14:27, Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you.  Not as the world gives do I give to you.  Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.
