Melchizedek the Priest-King

Genesis 14:17-24 Melchizedek is a mysterious figure who pops into Genesis 14 and then disappears. Other than a minor references to him in Psalm 110, it is not until after Jesus that the implications of this priest-king are fleshed out by the writers of the Book of Hebrews.
