The Passion of Christ - Radio Show
This series walks through the last few days of Jesus’ life, the resurrection, and Great Commission from Matthew’s view point. The word “passion” which refers to the last days of Jesus comes from the Latin work "pati", meaning "to suffer." The word “Passion” was used in the early 16th century to denote "the suffering of Christ on the cross." The English word “passion” also has its roots in the Old French where it meant "strength of feeling." Webster states the word passion "is a strong feeling, especially of anger, love or desire." We know it was God’s love which sent Jesus. Jesus endured the suffering of the cross out of His love for us. Jesus demonstrated both meanings of passion. He loved us so much that He was willing to suffer for us
