God sent the Holy Spirit to give power and boldness to share the good news of the Gospel. The Spirit gave Peter the courage to not only speak to the Jew but also to the Gentiles. This was unthinkable for the time. God gives you the Holy Spirit to unfold the plan for your life that is more than you can imagine. But His plans may be different than what you would expect. They are always better. The Holy Spirit gave Peter the directions and the boldness to obey God plan and as Peter obeys, God is glorified.
