The Apostle writes to the Ephesians demonstrating the greatness of God's salvation in Christ. Loved from eternity past, the Christian stands in a privileged position in Christ, united to the Commonwealth of Israel. The portion under consideration is in the applicatory section, drawing conclusions from the doctrinal points relayed in the first three or so chapters. This great epistle is "pregnant with Christ" and a tonic for the times.
