Kijuan “The Psalmist”

Communal Lament Prayer Dear Heavenly Father, We come before You with heavy hearts, seeking Your divine comfort and strength in the face of our profound loss. So many challenges rise against us, Lord, yet You remain our shield, our glory, and the One who lifts our heads high (Psalm 3:1-3). Mighty and powerful Father, Your love endures forever, and Your mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). In the midst of our sorrow, we celebrate Your unfailing love and faithfulness. You are sovereign and great, always good to those who wait on You and earnestly seek You (Lamentations 3:25-26). Your compassion knows no limits, and Your grace sustains us through even the darkest valleys. Lord, we lay our grief and pain before You. In this time of sorrow, we struggle to comprehend the loss of the sisters of Missionary Geraldine Wilson, Deaconess Julia Fugate, and Missionary Jacqueline Williams. Forgive us for the doubts and questions that arise in our hearts. Help us to trust in Your divine plan and to lean not on our own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). As we cry out, longing for Your presence, we seek Your guidance and strength to carry us through this valley of tears (Psalm 6:3). Thank You, Lord, for the beautiful lives of these sisters. We are deeply grateful for the moments we shared, the love and joy they brought into our lives. Thank You for the comforting presence that surrounds us and for the unwavering support of our community during these difficult times (Psalm 105:3). We cherish these memories and hold onto the hope that one day, we will be reunited in Your eternal kingdom. Lord, we lift up Missionary Geraldine Wilson, Deaconess Julia Fugate, and Missionary Jacqueline Williams. Comfort them in their grief and provide them with the strength to endure this challenging period. Surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Grant them resilience, courage, and faith to face each day. Pour out Your Spirit upon them, giving them the grace to find solace in Your promises and the fortitude to continue their mission in Your name. We pray for our entire community, Lord, as we share in this loss. May Your healing hand be upon all who mourn. Unite us in love, providing comfort to one another as we navigate this season of sorrow. Your word assures us that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Even when we feel as dried and shriveled as a wineskin in smoke, we do not forget Your decrees (Psalm 119:83). May Your presence be deeply felt in every heartache and tear. Heal our wounds and renew our spirits. Help us to bear one another's burdens and thus fulfill the law of Christ (Galatians 6:2). Almighty God, we trust in Your promises and rest in Your grace. Transform our mourning into dancing and our sorrow into joy, as You have turned our mourning into dancing and removed our sackcloth, clothing us with joy (Psalm 30:11). Grant us the strength to continue, holding onto the memories of our loved ones while embracing the hope of eternal life. Remind us, Lord, that You will wipe every tear from our eyes, and there will be no more death, mourning, crying, or pain (Revelation 21:4). In the name of Jesus, our compassionate High Priest who understands our weaknesses and sorrows, we pray. Amen.
