Homily - Faithful Then, Faithful Now (VAMC)

Incline thy ear to me, rescue me speedily! Be thou a rock of refuge for me, a strong fortress to save me!

Take me out of the net which is hidden for me... My times are in thy hand; deliver me from the hand of my enemies and persecutors!

Behold, this child is set for the fall and rising of many in Israel, and for a sign that is spoken against (and a sword will pierce through your own soul also), that thoughts out of many hearts may be revealed.”

DEAREST FRIENDS:

WHO CAN HELP BUT HEAR the anguished cries the Blessed Virgin, Our Lady of Sorrows?

WHO CAN FAIL TO BE CONFIDENT that as she bemoans the suffering that her children now endure...

THAT SHE INTERCEDES for us?

For she has been through this trial before And she remained with her Son through that trial... By which he learned obedience!

When Jesus saw his mother, and the disciple whom he loved standing near, he said to his mother, “Woman, behold, your son!” Then he said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother!”

Although he was a Son, he learned obedience through what he suffered; (Hebrews 5:8)

SHE WAS FAITHFUL THEN, SHE WILL BE FAITHFUL NOW!

OUR LADY OF SORROWS: Pray for us!
