How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out! 34 "Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?" 35 "Who has ever given to God, that God should repay him?" 36 For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory forever!. There is no one wiser than God. Whatever God does, it is His wisest move. So whatever happens in my life is God’s wisest move. God cannot miss anything. He is always on track to accomplish His plan.

Episode Notes

II. We don’t have sufficient knowledge and understanding to make the wisest decision.

Only God knows all things about all people for all time, and how everything impacts one another.
There is no accident to an all-wise God

III. If God’s wisdom is unfathomable and unsearchable, then what can man do?

We cannot KNOW His wisdom; we can only TRUST His wisdom.

Proverbs says wisdom is rooted in fearing God. He is the source of wisdom.

IV. How do we respond to a wise God?

(1) TRUST IN HIS WISDOM
"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD. My ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. (cf. Isa 55:8-9)

A. Every action or inaction has its impact and implications.
B. Only God can keep track of all of these.

Isa 42:16-17 “I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them; I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. These are the things I will do; I will not forsake them. 17 But those who trust in idols, who say to images, `You are our gods,' will be turned back in utter shame.”

(2) BE HUMBLE

1 Cor 8:1-2 “We know that we all possess knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up. 2The man who thinks he knows something does not yet know as he ought to know.”

1 Cor 1:18-21 “For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 19 For it is written: "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate." 20 Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 21 For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.

(3) ASK GOD FOR WISDOM
James 1:5 “If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.”
