When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory. Eph 1:13-14 B The guarantee of our inheritance. 3 The baptizing ministry of the Spirit. 12 Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. 13 For we were all baptized by[c] one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. 14 Even so the body is not made up of one part but of many. 1 Cor. 12:12-14 4 The Ministry of the filling of the Spirit 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Gal 5:22-23 1 It involves the love of God. 2 It involves expanded sacrificial compassion. 3 Just because you have the Spirit does not mean that you are meeting any of the conditions to allow the Holy Spirit of God to break out of your life.
