Why are you so far from saving me, from the words of my groaning? 2 O my God, I cry by day, but you do not answer, and by night, but I find no rest. Cries from the Cross 2 Cautions The first caution is that we not misrepresent the role of God the Father in redemption. The other caution is that we might misrepresent the Trinity. Well, why the darkness? The darkness came, the darkness that could be felt, and what happened at the tenth plague was that the lamb was slain The darkness symbolizes judgment. The Wonder of The cry He says, “My God,” symbolizing that separation of fellowship, remembering the fact that it is our sin that caused the Father to hide His face. Not just of Distress but of Trust The Wonder of the Answer God suffered for us Only a suffering God can help us. The Wonder of the Human Heart Psalm 22 Their heart is no different than the heart of people II. Three unforgettable lessons standing at the cross. The cross was not just for us. It was for God. He bore our rejection so that we might be accepted. All sin is very, very expensive. It’s really costly. And it’s always got to be paid for.
