Episode Notes

II. If you’ve been genuinely mistreated, do you have the right to be offended?
Genesis 37-48
Joseph had very limited freedom in his life
He still had the right to choose his response to all that had happened to him.
II. Is God in Control ?
1. When something offends us wee can respond in two ways:
1. Blame Others
2. Recognize that God is in Control.
2. Absolutely no man, woman, child, or devil can ever get you out of the will of God!
3. No-one but God holds your destiny.

III. God always has a plan
“But now, do not therefore be grieved or angry with yourselves because you sold me here; for God sent me before you to preserve life. For these two years the famine has been in the land, and there are still five years in which there will be neither plowing nor harvesting. And God sent me before you to preserve posterity for you in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance. So now it was not you who sent me here, but God…” (Gen 45:5-8).
Who sent Joseph? His brothers or God?
No mortal man or devil can supersede the plan of God for your life.
We must remember that nothing can come against us without the Lord’s knowledge of it before it ever happens.
“No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you’re able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it” (I Corinthians 10:13).
