So they are without excuse. 21 For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Claiming to be wise, they became fools, 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things. Creation Teaches That God Deserves All Thanksgiving "The heavens declare the glory of God and the firmament proclaims his handiwork. Day to day pours forth speech and night unto night declares knowledge" (Psalm 19:1–2). "Ever since the creation of the world his invisible nature, namely, his eternal power and deity, has been clearly perceived in the things that have been made" (Romans 1:20).

O God, thou wilt not despise" (Psalm 51:17).

Three Humbling Truths for the Sake of Your Thanksgiving

Nature teaches us that an infinitely marvelous, eternally powerful Being
created us and all we have
All of us have fallen short of this duty.

God, in his great mercy, sent his Son to suffer the judgment of people who are broken and contrite in spirit and who trust in him.
