Loving The World, Loving God

Technology has developed a dynamic of its own and passed out of human control.

What do we do if we are going to redeem the media for the glory of God?

We must love God exclusively.

I Peter 2: 15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

Matthew 5:8 “Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God,

You shall be holy, for I am holy.” I Peter 15:16

We must love Him gratefully

1st John 3:1 See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him

Christianity says you love because you’ve already been loved.

We must love God passionately.

2: 16 For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life[c]—is not from the Father but is from the world.

Psalm 42:1-2 As a deer pants for flowing streams, so pants my soul for you, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.

We have to develop a love for God that is greater than our love of sin.

We must love God eternally

2: 17 And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.

 Peter 3: 10- But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies[b] will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed.[c] 11 Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, what sort of people ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness, 12 waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be set on fire and dissolved, and the heavenly bodies will melt as they burn! 13 But according to his promise we are waiting for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.

We are training for another world.
