What Do Baptists Believe about God's Sovereignty in Salvation?

October 04, 2020
Pastor Scott Ingram

Baptists believe in the sovereignty of God in salvation as the Bible teaches it, not as the Calvinist has repackaged it. What do you believe about the sovereignty of God in salvation? According to Article 5 of the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 concerning "God’s Purpose of Grace" “Election is the gracious purpose of God, according to which He regenerates, justifies, sanctifies, and glorifies sinners. It is consistent with the free agency of man, and comprehends all the means in connection with the end. It is the glorious display of God’s sovereign goodness, and is infinitely wise, holy, and unchangeable. It excludes boasting and promotes humility.” Help us keep producing these messages by sending your donations to Omega Baptist Church P.O.
