Do you put whatever people say about you ahead of what God says about you ?

Taking God according to what he says about you , despite what your head or feelings are trying to tell you ; because they are not affected by the new birth . Just like something you own may belong to you , but it is not you , in the same way your thoughts, feelings , and emotions belong to you but they are not you . The part of you that God see's is your born again spirit because it is the real you and after receiving Jesus as your high priest he represents you for he is the new you in the sight of God . That is what Paul meant when he said in Galatians 2:20 - I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me .
