Some of the thoughts I have I know they are not godly they are despicable. I am aware of what tries to establish roots in my heart. You can actually feel thoughts growing, it's like the thought has roots. You can hear yourself and what you keep in your mind will take root in your heart. The Holy Spirit knows how to deliver us from fleshly works; IF we would only agree with what we hear Him say. Romans 8 Ephesians 4:20-24 But this is not the way you came to know Christ. Surely you heard of Him and were taught in Him— in keeping with the truth that is in Jesus— to put off your former way of life, your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be renewed in the spirit of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
